Our Philosophy
“Too many adults wish to 'protect' teenagers when they should be stimulating them to read of life as it is lived.”
― Margaret A. Edwards

- Bonding relationships with caring adults and peers.
- Character developing with program experiences.

Project Youth Group is committed to instilling our Youth with a Sense of:
Belonging- By being a team and working together, building relationships and learning social skills. A place to be accepted, understood and cared for.
Confidence- By engaging in stimulating activities and achieving goals, by at first you do not succeed...try, try again.
Values- When we do something for one-another, we feel pride and good about ourselves. By helping our community and paying it forward.
Leadership- By being heard and hearing others. By being a positive influence and making changes. And bonding with other members and adults in our program.

Making a Difference
Getting our "kids" off the streets, steering them away from harmful lifestyles by replacing it with activities that will broaden their horizons. We are striving to give them a chance to succeed and the skills to become productive adults. Project Youth Group will make a positive impact and create a meaningful place to grow and learn.
The need
The hours between 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. are critical in the lives of kids. Increasingly, they are out of school and alone at home or on the streets of Pepperell where they are left to find their own forms of recreation and companionship. This is where Project Youth Group comes in, we will give them a place to belong, to create confidence, to give them values and leadership qualities.
Educate on Dangers
They will have resources to learn about the dangers they face with peer pressure in today's society:
- Drugs
- Teen Pregnancy
- Safe Sex
- Driving under the influence
Educate on Future
- Skills they need to succeed in the work field
- Promote ongoing education after high school
- Keep them in school
- Tutoring by educated volunteers and teachers
- Thinking and problem solving skills
- Self awareness, empathy and social skills
The Youth We Serve
All youth, in crisis or not, from the ages of 13 through 18 years old. As a Non-profit organization we are here for youth to volunteer their time when they are in a crisis stage and it is court ordered. We will get them through their ordered hours and be active in helping them get past the issues they face and give them an on going sense of community. " A PLACE TO BE VALUED AND BELONG."
